Biography

Rashid Al-Mansoori read chemistry at Imperial College London and completed his doctorate on emulsion stability at ETH Zürich. He spent eleven years as principal chemist at a heritage Swiss cosmetics house before opening his own laboratory in Dubai in 2018.
He leads the Cosmetic Formulation and the Dubai Residency modules. Students leave the formulation lab able to read an INCI list with comprehension and to recognize, with depressing fluency, when a brand's claim is unsupported by its formula.
He teaches in English and Arabic. He cooks well; his students will tell you so.
