Held to the standards of the schools that defined the discipline.
Three accreditations sit behind the Maison Academy credential. Each is independent. Each is the current standard. Each is documented, in detail, on this page.
CIDESCO
Comité International d'Esthétique et de Cosmétologie
CIDESCO is the senior international standard in beauty therapy and skin care education. The certification has been the reference for the discipline for the better part of a century.
Maison Academy's curriculum is structured to the requirements of the CIDESCO international examination. Graduates of Foundation, Master, and Elite are eligible to sit the exam.
A CIDESCO Diploma is recognized by the senior practising community in 33 countries. It is, in practical terms, the credential that opens the door to the institutions that take the work seriously.
IPHM
International Practitioners of Holistic Medicine
IPHM accreditation establishes that a programme has been independently reviewed against the standards of holistic and complementary practice in the United Kingdom and abroad.
Maison Academy is an IPHM-accredited training provider. Graduates may practise under the IPHM register where applicable.
IPHM accreditation is the practical credential for graduates working in private practice in the United Kingdom and the broader Commonwealth. It is also the credential most clinical insurers recognize.
ITEC
International Therapy Examination Council
Maison Academy's curriculum is structurally aligned with the ITEC tradition — the syllabus, the order of teaching, and the standards of supervised practice are written to the ITEC framework.
The academy is not, at the time of writing, an ITEC examination centre. We are open about this. Graduates who wish to sit ITEC examinations do so through partner centres in Paris, London, and Toronto, with whom we maintain ongoing relationships.
ITEC alignment ensures that the curriculum you are taught is the curriculum the discipline considers complete. The examination, when taken, is the final formality.
Behind every credential, a practitioner.
Accreditation is a signal. The practitioner is the substance. The Maison Academy faculty holds, between them, more than one hundred and twenty years of accredited practice across six countries.
