The hands behind the Foundation residency. Twenty-two years of teaching the European facial as a craft, not a script.

Biography

The path to the Maison.

Isabelle Rousseau apprenticed under Madame Élise Bertin from 2002 to 2006 and was, in the years that followed, the youngest practitioner ever to be invited to teach at the Académie d'Esthétique Classique.

She believes — and teaches — that the difference between a competent practitioner and an excellent one is two grams of pressure and three seconds of attention. Her Foundation residency is the module about which graduates write the longest in their alumni letters.

She does not own a smartphone.

Two grams. Three seconds. That is the difference.
